Coronavirus: A message from our Owners

CMS Vauxhall would like to thank our customers for their patience and support and to our employees for their hard work in dealing with the unprecedented challenges and uncertainty caused by the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).

** UPDATE 1st June 2020**


Our After sales department remains open as well as a parts click and collect facility.

With the change in government guidelines our sales department is now open, still adhering to all social distancing guidelines. We are still able to offer all the facilities we have done over the past few weeks such as distance sales and con tactless vehicle viewing and handover. If you wish to visit our showroom you are able to do so but where possible we would like you to book an appointment prior so we are in the best position to manage our showroom levels.

All the below precautions and processes remain in place for both the safety of our staff and customers, which is our main priority at all times.

We have taken several precautions around our customer areas to make our environment as safe as possible for both our staff members and our customers. We have designated no access areas to ensure social distancing is adhered to and we have just taken delivery of bespoke desk screens to restrict respiratory contact.

Gloves, sanitizers and anti bacterial wipes are widely available to both staff and our customers to reduce any cross contamination on multi touch points such as doors and car keys.

Our process may have changed to ensure safety for all, but customer satisfaction is still our aim so please speak to us if you are unsure of our new guidelines and processes.

After the latest Government Guidelines and their emphasis on allowing safe mobility during these times we have taken stringent measures to re-open our aftersales department safely. We have stepped up our processes to comply with the social distancing guidelines and the routine disinfecting of all our public and staff areas to ensure the complete safety of our staff and customers.

Therefore, the aftersales department of our business will be open from tomorrow (Monday 27th April 2020), with the below restrictions and our sales department will be open for Online Retailing;

Our revised opening times will be 09:30 – 16:30 Monday To Friday

Aftersales

Our aftersales department will be working with limited capacity weedays. Therefore we request you do not turn up to our dealership without a booking in place. If you wish to make a booking, or require some advice, please call us on 01562 749000 during our opening hours.

We have restricted areas within our showroom and service area and we are working to an appointment only basis so we can ensure all social distancing guidelines are adhered to for both the safety of our customers and our staff.

Sales

Our sales department again will be functioning with limited staff to allow for Online Retailing and reserve and collect, therefore request you do not visit our showroom for the safety of both our staff and the general public.
You will have the ability to purchase a vehicle without leaving your home as we have taken steps to be able to offer a complete contactless sales process, both following financial guidelines and a legal process.

We took all of the following precautions throughout this process.

  • Cleaning frequency in our sites has been increased throughout the day to ensure high standards of safety and store cleanliness are maintained
  • We have increased the amount of hand cleaning and desk cleaning equipment at our dealerships and have asked our staff to follow the government guidelines with regards to hand washing
  • We are focused on limiting people interactions and so have banned hand shaking in our businesses and are actively encouraging people to stay at a safe distance
  • Any of our employees that show symptoms stated by the government are self-isolated immediately and not attend the workplace in line with current Government guidelines
  • Collection & Delivery service for everyone to continue, especially focusing on vulnerable customers who cannot attend or should not attend the showroom
  • We will continue to provide videos of your vehicle during its health check showing you any items requiring attention – you see what we see
  • We will be providing a personalised service with reduced contact including test drives from your home for anyone needing to replace their current vehicle
  • We can provide a detailed video of any vehicle of interest in our New or Used stock allowing you to buy in confidence at a sustainable distance
  • Vehicles will be wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes prior to us returning your vehicle to you and before and after test drives.This includes door handles, steering wheels, gear stick, hand brakes and radio/infotainment screens.

CMS Vauxhall’s priority is to continue to provide excellent service quality alongside a clean and safe experience for all our customers and employees.

Whilst the future is unknown to us all right now, we are working hard to ensure we are able to keep our showrooms and workshops operational for as long as it is safe to do so by working closely with Vauxhall Motors and following guidance provided by the Government.

We are determined to work together with our customers, employees and suppliers to ensure everyone gets through the following weeks with as little disruption as possible.
