Women in the Driving Seat

Being approached by a stranger in a deserted car park late at night or breaking down by the side of the road can be daunting experiences, especially for women. While these situations are infrequent, they do happen.
That’s why CMS Kidderminster came to the rescue of local women drivers by launching a free ‘Women in the Driving Seat’ evening course. This practical and fun evening offered instruction and advice in a relaxed setting with light refreshements and an opportunity for audience particiaption. The evening was aimed at reducing the risks women face when driving, including dealing with‘road rage’ in other drivers.
The evening included:
- Safe wheel changing
- Routine car care and maintenance with Vauxhall trained technicians
- Difficulty in starting your car
- Defensive driving advice from the experts
- Road rage – practical advice from a police-trained specialist
- Self-protection for women – practical role-play demonstrations from a qualified instructor
